Girls Varsity Water Polo · A WELL ROUNDED TEAM AND WINNING WELL

RIVERSIDE:  In the second game of the Big 8 season, the girls water polo team took on  Centennial High School and won in a wallop, 17-3.

Winning has been this group’s way thus far in the 2019-2020 campaign as they have amassed an impressive record of 15-3 and are 2-0 in the league.

“The whole team was well rounded in shots” said head coach Alavaro Merino on the Wolves’ attack.

Emily Ausmus put up 4 goals and Emily Hutton scored a hat trick.

The team started strong, leading 7-0 at the end of the first quarter and never looked back.

“The game all around was preformed well” Merino added, “we had a variety of shooters, and multiple defensive moves” that contributed to the win.

Keep this up, and their winning ways are likely to continue.
