CORONA: Competition is like a tide, it tends to raise all boats. The Santiago Sharks are one of those Big 8 golf teams that has improved, perhaps because King’s golf team has been as good as they’ve been for as long as they have.
But while the Sharks were circling a bit closer, the Wolves were able to get away and earn their 4th league match win, improving their record to 7-3, 4-1.
The score was 233–245.
Jennifer Gouisikul and Chandler Sjoerdsma led all scores with a 40 and 41 respectively.
It wasn’t just Santiago that proved a challenge, the greens were in rough shape, undergoing their annual maintenance. “Everyone struggled with their putting” said Coach Keith Moorman.
The girls are back on the prowl today, Wednesday, as they take on Norco on the Cougars home course.
