RIVERSIDE: Last Thursday, the boys’ tennis team had to weather each other and a short spell of warm weather in the Big 8 Finals. In an odd match up of ranked players, at times in this sport, players from the same school face off for individual honors.
“They represented each other and King High really well” crowed head coach Shaun Harris.
Singles Champion for the Big 8 Tournament went to Austin Harvill while Jaeson Kim and Brendan Provance went 3-4 respectively.
In doubles play, Jeff Peters and Brantley Ryan were champs while Ishan Modi and Gavin Henry took second.
Jaeson Kim was awarded with the 2091 season Big 8 MVP for singles, while Peters and Ryan earned the same title for Doubles.
