Boys Varsity Volleyball · ROOSEVELT REMAINS UNDEFEATED AS KING BOWS OUT GRACEFULLY


RIVERSIDE:  The boys’ volleyball team finished their last match and Senior Night to the undefeated Roosevelt Mustangs, losing in three sets, 16-25, 11-25, 18-25.

Senior Outside Hitter, Sean Sharpe finished with 3 Aces, 5 Kills, and 5 Digs.  Jayden Hackbarth, Jaden Evangelist and Taylor Vandenberg earned 5 Kills apiece.  Ian Swanson ran the offense with 15 Assists and Austin Kent led the defense with 10 Digs.

The season was full adversity and learning opportunities.

“I enjoyed watching the team grow and persevere through it all” said coach Lough.

Senior, Sean Sharpe told the team after the match, “I love all you guys and enjoyed playing with everyone.”

The season closes with four seniors graduating and a very promising Junior Varsity that finished tied for first place.

The varsity team will be back in action for the last time playing the Alumni match on May 22 at 4:30 pm.  ​
