Boys Varsity Volleyball · EAGLES SERVE UP DIFFICULTY FOR KING

The King Wolves Boys Volleyball team showed some of their best play at the net all season.  Unfortunately, it didn’t come until the third set and the lads weren’t able to sustain that energy the rest of the match. The La Sierra Eagles are currently third place.

“I really felt we had the momentum going into the fourth set.” said Coach Lough.  “The Eagles were a tough serving team that gave us trouble to run our offense.”

Sophomore, Outside Hitter Jon Dietz had his best match of the season earning his first double-double with 10 Kills and 16 Digs.

“It was great to see Jon show what he can do and bring such good energy to the court.” Lough said.

Senior, Outside Hitter Jayden Hackbarth had 7 Kills and 12 Digs.  Senior Middle, Taylor Vandenberg had 6 Kills and Senior Libero, Austin Kent had 12 Digs.

The scores of the match 10-25, 22-25, 25-13, 15-25.

“The team knows we can play well against the best teams in the Big VIII but sustaining the focus and intensity from set to set has been an area we need to improve” Lough added.

King’s next match is at Poly on Friday, April 19th,  with JV at 3:15 and varsity at 4:30 pm.
