Boys volleyball lost to the Sharks in four set match.  It was a match of runs.

“We just could not seem to stay in rhythm and sustain our poise.” said Coach Sondra Lough after the match.

The first set went to the Sharks (25-18) and the Wolves rallied back to win the second (25-23).

Things seemed to be turning around for the embattled boys from King.  “Before the third set,” Lough said, “we seemed to be in good shape.  Our focus was back, but as soon as we hit the court, we let off the gas”  They dropped the third set, 18-25 losing (25-18).

The Sharks jumped out in the fourth, but the Wolves came back and took the lead with an opportunity to win with set point but could not finish, losing 26-24.

Senior Sean Sharpe summed it up well:  “The team has good chemistry, but sometimes our effort in every point is not there.  It is our responsibility to fix that.

The team finished with some solid statistics that may mask some of the disappointment in losing.  Senior outside hitter Jayden Hackbarth had 9 Kills and 12 Digs.   Sharpe finished with 7 Kills, 16 Digs, while Senior Libero Austin Kent had 17 Digs

Junior Right Side Luke Davis and Senior Middle Taylor Vandenberg with 5 Kills a piece
