Boys Varsity Lacrosse · LACROSSE QUICK TO SEVEN WINS IN SEASON TWO

RIVERIDE:  Boys lacrosse came out fast against Orange Lutheran and put up 5 goals in the first quarter on Wednesday, April 3 to take a 5-0 lead early.

“We started the game down a few players with our starting goalie out and backup goalie (Robert Szalonek) to start his first game ever” said head coach Chris Kostka.

“Robbie stepped up huge and gave us solid defense throughout the game.”

The Wolves were led in scoring with 5 goals a piece by Junior Lucas Suh and sophomore Aldan Rhodes.  King went on to win 17-5 as they notched our 7th win of the season.

“The big take away to this point in our season is not only our record being 7-2,  but how soon we got win number 7” said Kostka.

In 2018, the first year of the program, King needed 14 games to get to seven wins.   Today, they are at 9 games.

“We still have a long way to go and still much to improve on,  however, we are improving each practice, each game, and our future is very bright.” Kostka said.
