General Old Golf Course has served as the home course for the King Wolves over the past 15 years. It has always provided a nice home course advantage to the Wolves with its windy afternoons and rolling hills.

King’s JV team though made a little history there though Tuesday when they were able to bring home the first JV tournament title in school history. The tournament hosted by the Wolves saw over 20 teams compete in three different flights.

The Wolves were in the most elite flight for the top JV teams. Shooting a score that would rival nearly any varsity team in the area the squad fired a 429. The team was led by Chase Colunga who won the flight with an incredible score of 80, which included a front nine score of even par. A tournament is not won by one man though as AJ Burke came through with his best round of the year of 82, and Diego Aguilera capped off the group with an 84. All 3 players finished in the top 5 in the entire flight. Eshaan Mehra’s 91 and Ashton Yin’s 92 secured the title for the Wolves, who bested the Ayala Bulldogs by 8 strokes.

Overall it was an exciting event and the second tournament trophy the King Golf Team has secured this season.
