Boys Varsity Soccer · SOCCER PLACES SECOND IN SAN-G TOURNEY

While most are on vacation, the boys soccer team was busy the last couple of days playing five games and winning four of them in the San Gorgonio tournament.  Unfortunately, that one loss was in the final against Vista Murrieta by a narrow margin, 0-1.

Scoring hadn’t been a problem for the Wolves to that point in the tournament of 24 teams.  King outscored their 15-3, beating San Jacinto 5-0, Desert Hot Springs 3-0 and El Monte by a score of 6-1.

Leo Mendez and Oswaldo Padilla led the Wolves in scoring with 5 goals a piece, while Bryan Shihad and Luca Sciommeri shared time in the goal throughout the tournament and relinquished only 3 goals combined.

King is now 11-5 overall on the season and will next play Poly on January 3.
