Girls Varsity Golf · THE QUEEN OF KING NOW SEEKING A SECOND CROWN

A few weeks back, Morgan Sjoerdsma was crowned the Homecoming Queen for 2018.  A standout in golf for four years, her senior campaign has been equally exciting and the Queen of King moved on to the CIF Southern Section Individual Finals on Wednesday, after firing a 6 over 78 on a very difficult Western Hills Golf Course

Morgan placed 19th in round in which the top 36 move on to finals.  The CIF Finals will be November 1.

“She played extremely well, consistently rebounding from an unfortunate shot or hole.” commented coach Keith Moorman.

Morgan is the sole representative from the Big VIII Conference advancing to the finals.

Before competing in the Individual finals though, Morgan will lead King team in the CIF team Regionals which will be held on Monday.

A good week ahead awaits her, and perhaps a second crown as well.
