Boys Varsity Golf · NIGHT HAWKS WINGS ARE CLIPPED, KING TAKES THE WIN

Coach LeDuc’s boys golf team continued their winning ways on Monday with a 2-9-228 (Low score wins) victory over the Nighthawks of Murrieta valley. The Wolves are now 4-0 on the young season.

“In all honesty, Murrieta Valley had an injured player which helped us win” confessed LeDuc, but such is the nature of sport and King will happily take the victory.

Joel Gonsier shot 39 and Johnny Walker 35.

“We played the back 9, which we have never played before at General Old course” said LeDuc.

“Overall it was a good win. Murrieta valley is a great team at full strength so playing them not at full strength was a little bit of a letdown but people played hard. Some people never playing before struggled a little but it was a good experience especially in the wind.”

“We need to work on always making sure every stroke counts.” LeDuc continued. “Giving away a stroke here or there or hitting a ball out of bounds is tough. It is hard to always execute the way you want to but it is not hard to always try and keep your head up.”

Good advice, words certainly that might apply as well to Murrieta Valley
