The Boys Volleyball team faced a tough Centennial team yesterday. “We got off to a slow start and really didn’t get into rhythm with our blocking and offense till the third set” said Coach Lough
“When our ball control is good we show some dominating skills. We want to build on those strengths and keep working in practice those skills that need to get better. ”
Key to the Wolves’ attack were Senior Outside Hitters Alex Escamilla (11), Michael Torquato (10) and Cole Vigo (10) Kills each. Leading the defense, Senior (OH) Michael Torquato was fearless on defense with Digs (18) and Junior Libero Austin Kent Digs (12). Senior Setter Zach Driscoll had a good match with Digs (11), and Assists (28).
Sean Sharpe (Jr.) reflected on the outcome: “It was a rough start, it exposed some of our weakness, but we learned a lot about ourselves and what we need to do to win.”
The season is young, the process of growth takes time. “The boys will have time to make those adjustments.” said Lough, optimistic about the many games that remain in 2018.
The Boys Volleyball team will play at home on Wednesday, March 14th vs Corona.
