The boys volleyball team, which is in a three-way tie for second in the Big 8 League, played Corona on Thursday at King High. They were admittedly up against a team that has struggled this season, thereby making the straight-set victory a bit of an expectation, but Coach Lough wanted to challenge the boys nonetheless.
“We knew going into the game we needed to stay focused on playing consistent and trying knew plays to prepare for next week.” Lough remarked.
“A few players tried new positions and our offense ran new plays. We tried to keep the game challenging for ourselves. Overall, it was good to see a lot of players getting to contribute on the court.
James Stufkosky had a very consistent match with 14 Kills, 3 Aces, and 15 Digs. Michael Torquato ended with 18 digs.
