IRVINE: The girls soccer team got things rolling over the weekend, finishing with a tournament championship.
King was entered in the Beckman tournament in hopes of facing much more challenging opposition than what the Lady Wolves usually face in the Inland Empire.
The girls were placed in the second bracket and played Rancho Mirage and Colton at home to win their bracket.
In advancing, they played Brea Olinda in the semi final and then faced Colton once again as they won their semi final as the under dog in penalty shoot out. King won the final 3-0.
King is off to a 4-0 record with 15 goals scored for and only 3 goals against.
