Coach Becky Gagnon has assembled a USTA league team of King High players. The team, whimsically named, “Queen Kong,” qualified for Sectionals under the 18 Advanced division after playing 5 matches against other local teams. Each match consisted of 3 singles and 3 doubles matches.

The overall games score for Queen Kong was 211-248 games and the overall matches score was 2-3.

On Saturday and Sunday June 4-5, Queen Kong showcased their skills against other 18 advanced teams across Southern California in San Diego. They were led by their coach Otis Vu from the Canyon Crest Country Club who drilled and motivated them to stay determined until the very end. Each team player brought their unique skills to the table and persevered until the very end to see these great results. The players included:  Emily Wang, Simrina Desar, Naneeta Desar, Faith Demicco, Lexi Alvarez, Susan Su, Sarah Lee, Nayana Prashanth
