The 2017 CIF Team Regional Finals was held at Los Serranos South Course (par 74). King shot a 419 good enough for 8th of 19 teams. The Wolves were led by three seniors Sam Butler who shot 79, Michael Higginbotham carded an 80 and Jacob Flaczinski shot 82. It was a difficult course the Wolves. It […]

BUTLER REPEATS AS GOLF LEAGUE CHAMPION

“SENIOR CIRCUIT” ENDS WITH A WIN

RIVERSIDE: In pro golf, there’s a “senior circuit” for older players, but on King’s home course yesterday, it was “Senior Day”, a day to recognize the guys that will leave the program soon.  It was an appropriate day of honor, for it was this group that, in many respects, put King Golf on the map […]

ALL IS NOT LOST IN WIN OVER CORONA

File Photo CORONA:  “We must have lost 20 balls on the day” Coach LeDuc humorously said. “At one point, we had to go get some more for one of our players.” It was that kind of day as King didn’t play well but still overmatched the Corona Panthers and despite balls lost in the weeds […]

RIVERSIDE:  “Pay attention to the details” coaches often say, “they add up to big things.” Such could have been the summary of the Big 8 League golf match on Thursday as King took on Santiago […]

BUTLER SHOOTS A HOLE IN ONE IN WIN OVER CENTENNIAL

CORONA:  The boys golf team took on Centennial and at first the Spring break seemed to affect their game.  The team got off to a rough start and shot 15 over on the first hole alone. But, that rustiness seemed to flake off as they went through the rest of the course and the team rebounded to […]

JV’s IN VARSITY SHOES HELP BRING KING A WIN

RIVERSIDE: King hosted Corona High on Thursday at General Olds course and out-shot the Panthers 201-244 to improve to 3-1 in league and extend a modest win streak out to three matches. Michael Higginbotham shot a 37 to lead the team to victory, but there’s no place on the score cards to note that it […]

ADVERSITY, RAIN, AND NORCO ARE OVERCOME BY GOLF TEAM

NORCO:  At the Goose Creek course in Norco, King’s golf team took on the Cougars and fought to a solid, but close win, 202-237, with low score the winner in the sport of golf. King had to play without it’s top scorer this year so things started out rocky but the team rebounded and were able to […]

GOLF DROPS LOWEST SCORE OF THE SEASON IN WIN OVER ROOSEVELT

RIVERSIDE:  At the General Olds course near March Air Force Base, the boys from King had a great overall team performance to win in their league match against Roosevelt. Four players shot 38 and led King to their lowest score of the season. It did not have any individual stars but everyone collectively played well. Jake Flaczinski, […]
